1. Practice as much as you can.

Mathematics is a manual subject. You can't just "learn" the chapters, you have to understand the concepts and then keep practicing. It is best to start practicing from day one. This way, you will get good practice when the exam comes around. When studying heavy subjects, you can do some math exercises so you don't feel overwhelmed.

2. Solve problems/examples.

Don't start by solving complex problems. If you have just understood this chapter, solving difficult problems will give you wrong answers and discourage you. It might even make you hate math even more. Instead, start out simple. Solve examples in textbooks. Make sure you haven't checked the answers beforehand. After you figure it out, compare it with the solution in the textbook or reference book you are using. See if all your steps are correct, not just the main answer.
